Wiley: How do I use the Wiley Note Builder? (ShareNote)

Wiley Note Builder applies to BIRP, PIE, and Universal Note Types. Differences will be noted below.

Access Wiley Note Builder

1. Hover over the Note Center tab in the navigation bar.
2. Select PIE, BIRP, or Universal Notes from the drop-down, then select Create New Note. 
3. Fill out the top half of the Note according to the Note Type (PIE Note or BIRP Note).
4. Click the Use Wiley Note Builder button to access the Wiley Note Builder.
   
   
   
   

Complete Wiley Note

1. Select the Category in Wiley Note Builder window that displays.
2. Click Continue to Problems button.
   
   
   
   
3. Optional - Select Client Diagnosis to filter available Problems.
4. Select appropriate Problem(s).
5. Click Continue to Notes button.
   
   
   
   
6. Select one or more appropriate Notes for Client.
7. Click Continue to Interventions button.
   
   
   
   
8. Select Intervention(s) for Client.
9. Click Continue to Plans (for BIRP Note) and skip to step 11.
10. OR Review Note Builder (for PIE or Universal Note) and skip to step 14.
    
    
    
    
11. BIRP Notes ONLY (Skip to step 14 for PIE or Universal Notes).
    Interventions will display based on each Active Goal and Objective in the Client’s Treatment Plan. These will be used for the Plan section of the Note.
12. Select appropriate Intervention(s) for the Client for each Objective.
13. Click Review Note Builder Selections button.
    
    
    
    
14. Review Wiley Note Builder.
15. Click Go Back button to make any changes.  
16. OR click Insert Note Builder Selections Into Note button.
    
    

Select information entered in Wiley Note builder will be placed in Note. Customize, add, update, or remove any of the inserted information as needed.

Note: The Response Field in BIRP Note will need to be filled out for the individual for each session. Wiley will not populate that section.
