To help prevent a Claim error, you can enable a Note-Level Claim Scrub to run when you create a Note that will check for the following information:
- Patient Address (HOME)
- Street Address
- City
- State
- Zip Code
- Phone Number
- Diagnosis (At least one Diagnosis must be specified and Active)
- NPI of Rendering Provider (User creating Note)
- NPI of Clinic
A Note already has a number of required fields that should populate with information you entered during implementation and setup, but enabling the Note-Level Claim Scrub is an added data check that goes beyond those required fields.
Once enabled for your organization, all users will see the approval or failure notifications or blocks when creating a Note.
Enable Note-Level Claim Scrub
- Hover over the Managers tab in the navigation bar, and select Preferences from the drop-down.
- Scroll down and expand the Note Preferences section.
- Click Claim Scrubbing Method for Note Creation and select appropriate scrub level.
- OFF - No data scrub will be performed on Note.
- ON, Notify - Enables Note Scrub with a Notification warning system if an issue is found in the Note.
- ON, Block - Enables Note Scrub and blocks Note creation if an issue is found in the Note.
- Click Update button at bottom of section.
Note-Level Claim Scrub
Once the Note-Level Claim Scrub is enabled, users will see one of the two following messages when creating a Note.
