Write a Group Note: PIE, BIRP, & Universal Group Notes (ShareNote)

To create a new note, hover over the Note Center tab in the navigation bar and select from the drop-down the note type you will be writing, then click Create New Note. Follow the instructions below to write either a PIE, BIRP, or Universal Group Note.

PIE Group Notes

1. Click Create PIE Note for MULTIPLE Clients.
2. Enter in the Service Date.
3. Use the Client(s) drop-down to select all Clients that were in the group session.
   
   
   
   
4. Fill in the remaining fields. The required fields are marked with a red asterisk. 
5. When completed, scroll to the bottom of the page and click Submit Note.

BIRP Group Notes

1. Enter the Date of Service.
2. Check the box stating that this is a Group Note.
3. Use the Select Client(s) drop-down to select all Clients that were in the group session.
   
   
   
   
4. Fill in the remaining fields.
5. When completed, scroll to the bottom of the page and click Submit.

Universal Group Notes

1. Use the drop-down to Select Note Type.
2. Highlight multiple Clients in the Select Client(s) section by holding down the Ctrl key on a PC, or Command on a MAC, and then select the appropriate Client Names.
3. Click Submit.
   
   
   
   
4. You will be brought to the note form for the specific Note Type you selected. Fill in the fields and submit the note.
